Welcome back to the next segment in Nanny One's, scrapbook adventures. Following on from my last post, you now have the photo's in order. Now it is time to pick a theme for your project. When you have picked the photo's you want scrapped, you are now ready to get underway. Before you start, make sure you have good space to work in, this will make it so much easier to think and design your pages. Materials you will need are a cutting mat, cutter/ cutting knife, glue, ruler, scissors, photo mounting squares, adhesives, paper, cardstock, album, paints/ stamps. At this stage all you have to do is work out your layout for your photo's on the cardstock and paper, then attach the photo's onto the background you have chosen. When I first started I went out and purchased a lot of materials and equipment that I did not need, a first. So when you are starting out, just buy the minimal things you require, to make the pages of your album. NannyOne will have some more great tips next post. Well I better get to work on this venture, as my last post was very short.
I started to scrapbook only around 2 1/2 yrs ago. I have always taken lots of photo's on my travels, only to put half in albums and the rest in boxes, and forgotten about. With having quite a few moves in my life, around 30plus, you can see I have plenty of photo's to scrap!
When I was invited to join a scrapbook workshop, get-together, I thought it would be a good idea to go along and find out what it was all about. Well guess, I got hooked!! I found a great way to get my photo's into albums, tell a story and live memories at the same time.
First you need photo's, and with these it is always good to sort them into categories, such as family, holidays, school days, these are just a few ideas. You can put the photo's in photo boxes or similar item, have dividers and label them so when you decide what you are going to scrap, you can quickly find the photo's you need.

Most people today, have a hobby or would like one. A Scrapbook hobby is to have fun with your photo's. This can be done either in Albums, Frames, on Canvas, Collage or just in a scrapbook.

Today there are a variety of clubs, getaway's, workshop's and online nets, to have fun with your photo's. You can obtain material for your creation's, from anywhere in the world today, these include most countries, online internet sites, that have places where you can shop for your material's.
To start, firstly one of the essential's for Scrapbooking is your Photo's. You may think this is silly, but I have been to a few workshop's, where the person has arrived at the event to work, only to realize they left the main ingredient at home!!
Well until next time, when I am ready to tell you more on how to make your photo's tell a story!
